Adriana is a scenic designer, painter, and stage manager. She is graduating from UIC with a BA in Theater Design, Production, and Technology with a minor in education. She has scenic designed for summertime (an interlude) (UIC), and Macbeth (UIC), and been a studio assistant for Collette Pollard for Eureka Day (Timeline - Chicago Broadway Playhouse). Adri has painted for two theater seasons with Impostor’s Theater Company (‘24-’26), Confederates (Redtwist), and ChiARTS’ summer season. She stage managed Odessa (Subtext Studio TC), Exit Strategy (UIC), and assisted stage management for Not About Nightingales, Urinetown, and Blues for an Alabama Sky (UIC), Helena and Hermia, and Footholds V6, ( Impostor’s Theater Company), and Big Time Toppers (Theater L’Acadie).

 

As a disabled artist, Adri brings a different side and perspective to every room she enters. She is eight years into her theater journey and likes to focus on theater and art that challenges the systems that oppress, connects those who feel separated or othered, and emphasizes a need to do better for the self, and the community around. Outside of theater, she enjoys working with kids, and often works for The Painted Turtle, a non-profit organization for children with disabilities, every summer. She also enjoys hobbies such as painting, music, crafting, crochet, journaling, and more!
